Financial Advantages Skipper products compete very favorably with other similar wireless products: Skipper’s Service Provider platform costs significantly less than the next closest competitor. There is currently no competition for Skipper’s Home CPE product. Skipper networks do not require “terrestial backhaul” lines such as DSL or ISDN as do competitive systems. Other systems require switching and routing hardened centralized offices, showcasing Skipper’s distributed architecture cost-efficiency. Technical Advantages Skipper’s engineering research has produced a superior silicon technology providing greater radio range and higher user data bandwidth, Skipper products include a “backbone” radio as well as a “local Hotspot” radio in a single integrated platform. Other products require separate system platforms, one for the Backbone, the second for local Hotspot coverage.
