WHO IS TIVERTON TRADING COMPANY?
Tiverton Trading Company is an importer and retailer of classic Chinese blue and white cotton fashion accessories. The company founder is an interior designer with a lifelong passion for textiles. Her romance with Chinese culture inspired countless trips to Asia that always included long wanderings into the less-traveled streets of Shanghai. As her curiosity led her down one street and yet another, she was restless until she discovered the ancient world of Blue Nankeen: it was “just around the next corner.”

What are the instructions for care of your products?
Due to the colorfast quality of indigo dye, you can machine-wash our products on the gentle cycle or wash them by hand. Air-drying is advised.
If I buy two or more of the same product will the fabric and the pattern look the same on all of them?
Occasional imperfections or variations in this hand-printed product are to be expected in pattern as well as color. These differences are the natural result of wax-resist process. Products made from Blue Nankeen dyed cloth are considered quite valuable because each is unique.
How will I know whether the item is in stock?
If an item is temporarily out of stock it will be clearly stated on that product page. That page will also display an estimated date when stock is expected to enable you to return to the website to place an order. If you would like to be contacted when a backordered product arrives please send us an email identifying your request.
Do you offer a catalog?
We appreciate your interest in our products. Unfortunately, we do not offer a printed catalog at this time.
There was a bag for sale on your website a few months ago but now it’s gone. Is it still available for me to buy?
Our products are made exclusively for us in limited quantities, although occasionally a small number of pieces remain. Please contact us via email — including as much information as possible about the product you’re interested in. We’ll see what we can do for you!
